GCSE Foundation Maths

I supported this student (attending a local comprehensive school) in GCSE Foundation Maths over a six-month period. They had difficulty grasping fundamental math concepts and lacked confidence. Through personalised tutoring and continuous encouragement, they made remarkable progress, successfully achieving their target grade in the final exam.

GCSE Maths

I assisted this student in GCSE Maths. Over the course of one year, we focused on strengthening their understanding of key mathematical principles and improving their problem-solving skills. This targeted approach helped them overcome their difficulties and resulted in a significant improvement in their grades, allowing them to achieve a high pass.

GCSE Maths and Science

This student needed help with both GCSE Maths and Science. Over the span of one year, I provided comprehensive support, focusing on areas of weakness and enhancing their exam techniques. As a result, they improved their grades in both subjects, achieving above their expected targets and gaining admission to their desired sixth form.

KS3 and GCSE Maths and Science

I tutored two brothers in KS3 and GCSE Maths and Science. Over this period, I provided comprehensive and tailored instruction, which helped them excel in their studies. They received intensive support and tailored lesson plans that aligned with their learning style. The elder brother went on to achieve all grade 9s in his final GCSE exams.

IB Chemistry and Maths

I worked with this student for one year to improve their grades. They struggled with understanding complex concepts and applying them in exams. With tailored support and focused study sessions, they significantly improved their grades and comprehension, ultimately achieving top marks in both subjects.

IB Physics

I worked with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Physics student for one year. Initially, the student struggled with understanding complex concepts and applying them effectively in exams. Their grades improved, as topics in mechanics, electricity and gas laws were explained in more detail to the student. Furthermore, practice questions and guided exam paper support helped improve the student’s confidence and grades.

A-Level Further Maths

I tutored this student in A-Level Further Maths over an eight-month period. Initially struggling with advanced topics, they received intensive support and tailored lesson plans that aligned with their learning style. This focused effort led to substantial progress, and they went on to achieve an A* in Further Maths.

A-Level Maths and Further Maths

Over the course of one year, I tutored this student in both A-Level Maths and Further Maths. We addressed their difficulties with advanced mathematical concepts and developed effective study strategies. The consistent support and personalised tutoring enabled them to significantly improve their grades, achieving top marks in both subjects.

PAT

I worked with a student preparing for the PAT (Physics Aptitude Test). We covered a wide range of key topics – from mechanics to electricity – and focused on buildig both understanding and confidence. By the end of our sessions, the student showed clear progress and much stronger problem-solving skills.

Interview Preparation

I supported mock interview support for Sixth Form students applying to Oxford. Sessions focused on thinking allowed, articulating reasoning under pressure, and tackling subject-specific questions.

Hobbies

My interests and hobbies include reading the news, learning Arabic, and playing tennis. I enjoy reading the news because it keeps me informed about current events and allows me to engage in meaningful conversations about global issues. Learning Arabic fascinates me as it opens the door to understanding a rich and diverse culture, and it challenges me intellectually as I navigate its complex grammar and vocabulary. Playing tennis is not only a great way to stay physically active but also a wonderful means of relieving stress and improving my focus and discipline. Each of these activities enriches my life in unique ways, helping me to grow both personally and professionally.
