About Me
At the core of my tutoring is the formation of strong, trusting relationships with families, a calm and supportive learning environment and a focus on building students’ confidence to help them achieve excellent academic outcomes. I believe tutoring is not a one size fits all process, and so I tailor my method and approach to each individual’s needs and learning ability, while also tapping into their interests and relating the material we cover to their own experiences.

11+ English & Verbal Reasoning
This American student was initially working at a 10+ level in English language, verbal reasoning and creative writing and needed to familiarise himself with a number of different entrance examinations. Through regular practice and tailored exercises over one year, I strengthened his core skills and he gained admission to his first choice: The American School in London.
11+ Mathematics & Reasoning Support
This gifted maths student struggled with anxiety and ADHD which heavily impacted his exam performance. I provided tailored coping strategies, structured practice and confidence-building support. Over 18 months his performance stabilised, leading to successful admission to City of London School for Boys.
13+ Science (EAL Support)
I supported this student from a Chinese background who struggled with vocabulary and key terminology in science. Through consistent holiday tutoring over two years, I built her language proficiency and exam skills, resulting in acceptance to Harrow School.
13+ Mathematics (Statistics Focus)
I tutored this student from Year 6 to Year 8, focusing on statistics, algebra and position and direction, which she initially found challenging. I provided targeted practice, step-by-step explanations and plenty of exam-style questions. Over two years, her confidence and accuracy improved significantly and she secured a place at Wellington College for her GCSEs.
GCSE Combined Science (AQA)
I supported this student who felt overwhelmed by the volume of AQA science content. Through structured revision plans and calm, confidence-building discussions, I helped her manage workload effectively. Over one year, she exceeded her predicted grades and successfully gained entry to her chosen sixth form.
GCSE Sciences (Edexcel IGCSE)
I worked with this very able young man who was predicted high grades but lacked effective revision strategies and exam technique. I introduced structured revision methods and exam-focused practice. Over just six months, he refined his exam technique and achieved 8s and 9s across all subjects.
Hobbies
I enjoy cycling, swimming and running as I feel these are the perfect outlet to relieve the stress from the hustle and bustle of London life. I love to cook and bake, as although I’m a very methodical person, I like to incorporate my scientific skills and experiment with recipes. I also enjoy horticulture for the patience it gives me, treating each plant I grow like it’s my own little project.
