About Me

My teaching approach is centred around a bottom-up philosophy. I believe that any complex question can be broken down into simpler, more manageable parts. By teaching from first principles, I equip students with the tools to approach problems methodically and confidently, no matter the subject or level.

Equally important to me is creating a collaborative, respectful learning environment. I treat every student as an individual – whether they’re 6 or 26 – and tailor my approach to suit their unique strengths, needs, and learning style. I love teaching and genuinely enjoy working alongside students to build their curiosity, confidence, and independence.

Recent tuition

TMUA

Supported a student applying to Imperial for Maths, working on fast-paced problem-solving intuition. Student scored a high mark on the test as was subsequently offered a place to study. Length of support: 8 weeks

TARA (newly introduced test similar to TSA)

Supported a student applying for CompSci at UCL, with her sitting the test in Jan 26, pending offer. Length of support: 3 months

Sixth Form entry to London City Girls

Provided support for the entry aptitude tests. Student was capable but lacked confidence, so lots of encouragement was required, breaking down the question styles to make her as comfortable as possible. Outcome: invite to interview. Duration: six weeks.

Maths, A level, Edexcel

I supported the student, improving their grade from a B to an A*. The main focus was developing the student’s mathematical intuition rather than mechanically using learnt formulas. A lot of this centred on understanding derivations and theories from first principles, enabling him to break down complex problems.

Oxford Economics and Management Entry

Support: Personal Statement support, TSA tuition, interview prep. Progress – Acceptance to Oxford. Duration of Support: three months

Oxford Maths entry

Support in MAT tuition, helping the student improve their mathematical intuition. The result: being invited to interview at Oxford. Duration: eight weeks.

Economics, University of Newcastle

I supported the student in their preparation for their second year exams. The student was chasing a first but wanted to increase his odds. I helped him improve his economic intuition enabling him to break down problems and simply to make sure he could have a strong attempt at any question. Duration: six weeks.

Hobbies

When I’m not tutoring, I’m focused on building my own startup. I find that the flexibility of tutoring complements entrepreneurship perfectly—both require adaptability, creative problem-solving, and the ability to respond dynamically to others’ needs. My interests and hobbies include volunteering work for Age UK, playing sport (tennis, squash, cycling), yoga, Pilates, gym, exhibitions and seeing friends!
