About Me
My main goal is to ensure the student enjoys learning – this is the fastest way to the best results. By making sessions engaging and relevant, progress is maximised. I am able to adapt my lesson structure and content to the pace of the student and their learning style. I am also a wiz with exam technique, interview skills and last minute revision panics!
I’ve successfully prepared students for the following schools across all entry points: Westminster, Winchester, King’s Wimbledon, Godolphin & Latymer, Latymer Upper, City of London (boys and girls), St Paul’s (boys and girls), Queen’s College, Francis Holland, Putney High GDST, Wimbledon GDST, Merchant Taylor, Harrodian, Highgate and Lady Margaret School. At 11+ only, I’ve also supported candidates applying to Alleyn’s, Emanuel and Dulwich. Moving out of London, I’ve prepared students for entrance exams into Eton, Harrow, Marlborough, Wellington, Downe House, Cheltenham Ladies College and Haberdashers (Boys and Girls).

Year 2 Maths and English
I worked extensively with a student based in Chelsea who was bright but struggling to focus. By engaging her creatively we were able to make amazing progress in the core subjects.
Year 1 to Year 4 Maths and English
This placement was originally set up for the 7+ but we ended up seeing such an improvement that we extended the work beyond the remit of those tests. I also helped with exam techniques as this can be quite overwhelming for younger students.
Overseas residential tuition
I tutored a 9 year old who was struggling academically but skied at national level. The family needed someone who could not only challenge her on the slopes but ensure she was left behind when she was taken out of school to live with them in France. I created a well structured schedule of lessons, incorporating the full curriculum. By engaging regularly with her teachers back home I was able to cover what she was missing but add in much more besides. With fun sessions, we made amazing progress and boosted her confidence and attainment.
Maths age 10-15
I have continued to tutor one girl from year 5 to the beginning of year 11. She used to struggle in maths but is now top of her class. We also prepared her for her 11+ which she aced gaining a place at Queens Park- her first choice!
13+ Preparation – Eton scholarship
I worked with a wonderful family whose son was applying to Eton but could only go if he recieved a prestigious yet very rare scholarship. With well paced sessions, enthusiasm and hard work we got him to a world class standard and I am delighted to say he is there now, scholarship in hand!
13+ Preparation – Westminster school
I tutored two brothers for their entrance exams. They sailed through with two of the highest marks in their year. I also prepared them for their interviews. Building confidence and working on representing their thoughts ideas and passions clearly.
IB and SATS
I tutored a bright sixth former who was applying to US colleges through her IBs and also her SATs. By paying close attention to the differences in US/ UK syllabuses and by ensuring great time management across all her subjects, we gained her brilliant results (equivalent to 3 A* at A level) and a place at her first choice college in the US.
