About Me

I have more than five years of experience in teaching Mathematics, Physics, Philosophy and Italian as a foreign language. I also teach Theory of Knowledge (TOK) for the IB.

I have worked with students of different age groups and levels, ranging from as young as Key Stage 1 all the way up to university students and adult learners.

I am passionate about the subjects I teach. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students do well in their exams, but also to help them to understand and enjoy the subject I am teaching.

Recent tuition

My recent teaching experience includes:

– IB (both HL and SL) and A-Level (OCR, AQA and Edexcel) Mathematics, Physics and Philosophy to Sixth Form students, both in Central London and online. This includes support with specific subject knowledge, essay structuring and assisting with internal assessments.

– IB Theory of Knowledge: working with multiple students, helping them to understand how to structure coherent arguments for TOK, and also with researching, planning and structuring their TOK essays.

– In April 2017 I led two intensive review courses for IB (SL and HL) Mathematics for Upper Sixth students at international schools in Milan.

– Undergraduate calculus, set theory, statistics, mechanics and formal logic for university students and foundation year students in the UK (e.g. Oxford, LSE, UCL, Birkbeck).

– One to one Mathematics support for students in Key Stages 1-3. This includes a Year 6 pupil who obtained excellent results in her SATs and was accepted into a prestigious secondary school (Grey Coat Hospital) as a result.

– English as a foreign Language: As part of a volunteer project I led a class of more than 20 primary students in Milan, helping them to improve their English.

– Teaching Italian as a second language to adult learners, including beginners and a more experienced student who wanted to improve his speaking and writing skills.
