Founder of Woodlands Education and Wellbeing
Victoria Gallagher BA Hons, PGCE, pgcert SpLD (Dyslexia), is an Education Consultant, Intervention Coordinator, Life Coach, and Specialist Dyslexia teacher, working between Shropshire and London. Victoria also has Level 2 CACHE (Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education) in Autism.
Victoria transitioned from running the History Department at her school, to working as an Inclusion Officer, supporting students with emotional and special educational needs (SEN). Victoria now runs Woodlands Education and Wellbeing, leading a team of Specialists working across SEN, and emotional and mental wellbeing. Woodlands works to accommodate a range of SEN and Emotional Wellbeing needs; from Dyslexia and Executive Function, to mental and emotional nurturing and empowerment. As well as running Woodlands, Victoria still works within schools, giving her an advantageous ‘ear to the ground’ on current educational policies and practices. Woodlands also guides parents through the process of securing an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Victoria is deeply passionate about empowering the children with whom she works, helping them to come up with their own strategies to develop their confidence and self-esteem.
Victoria has three wonderful neuro-diverse children; a 17 year old boy with Auditory Processing Disorder and Dyspraxia, a 15 year old boy with ADHD and Dyspraxia and finally an 11 year old girl with ADD, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Dyslexia. All are flourishing because of the unique and individualised support they receive, and Victoria therefore has an intimate understanding of both parents’ and their children’s experiences. Victoria is a highly experienced consultant, who her clients describe as ‘invaluable’.
