Wetherby Preparatory school is situated in Bryanston Square, Central London. It was founded in September 2004 and the original intake of 24 boys has grown to more than 300. It is a day school for boys aged 7 to 13 years. It is part of the Alpha Plus Group which owns and runs 20 educational establishments including the pre-prep Wetherby School in Pembridge Square.

Wetherby Preparatory School was awarded the Tatler Good Schools Guide Preparatory School of the Year in 2012. It aims to provide the best possible academic route to get boys into the best senior schools by way of Common Entrance. It emphasises English, Maths and Science but sports ( football in autumn, rugby in spring and cricket in summer) take up two afternoons each week with a weekly hour of PE in addition. Music and art are also well provided for, developing each boy’s creative skills. The school emphasises optimism and believes that “Every boy learns in a different way”. Pastoral care is emphasised and parents are encouraged to take an active part in school life. Clubs and visits are important and each boy can go on an annual residential event such as a camping trip or a language course in France.
