Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School (RPPS) is a lively, co-educational, independent school for children aged 4 to 11 in West London. The school is housed in four separate buildings located on a single site. There is a beautiful vicarage which was the original home for the school when it opened in 1991, and the site as a whole provides a comfortable, vibrant and homely environment for the children.

Notable Academic Facilities

RPPS has specialist onsite facilities including a multi-purpose Auditorium, Library, Music Suite, Art Studio and Science Laboratory. Additional facilities include a gymnasium, ICT suite and a large outdoor playground space. RPPS provides an education of the highest quality with an engaging curriculum that is varied, exciting and forward looking, whilst also preparing pupils for transfer at the end of Year 6 to some of the best and most selective independent schools.
We are a thriving school, taking pride in a holistic approach to the attainment of each child’s potential - intellectual, physical, social and spiritual. Our talented and dedicated team of teachers nurture and inspire the children so that they flourish academically and emotionally.

Wellbeing & Pastoral Care

The pastoral care and wellbeing of our children is paramount. By actively celebrating our pupils' personal achievements, we extol a belief that personal growth and development deserves as much recognition as academic and sporting or musical achievements. Merit Assemblies held each week award accolades including Sports Star, French Speaker, Musician and Star of the Week, alongside a special Commendation Assembly each term to honour those children who have displayed excellence, effort, achievement, attitude or contribution. High expectations of learning behaviour, combined with caring pastoral guidance, empower our confident learners to achieve excellent results. The behaviour we encourage and expect from our children at RPPS is based on a whole-school ethos of respect and tolerance. All children subscribe to the RPPS Code of Conduct which emphasises the importance of good manners and treating others with kindness, thus guaranteeing a calm and learning-focused environment which is key to all successful learning journeys.

Advice For Parents

Registration for a Reception place is strongly recommended on or before a child’s first birthday although later registrations are still welcome.

Highly Regarded For

RPPS provides an education of the highest quality with an engaging curriculum that is varied, exciting and forward-looking, whilst also preparing pupils for transfer at the end of Year 6 to London Day Schools and 11+ boarding schools. There is a palpable sense of community at RPPS, and visitors often comment on the warm and happy atmosphere, and the family feel that they notice around the school. The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) visited RPPS in 2016 and we were delighted to have received the judgement of ‘excellent’ in all areas.
