Merchant Taylors’ Boys’ School is an independent co-educational school situated at Liverpool Road on Merseyside. It was founded over 400 years ago and aims for each pupil to achieve the highest possible academic standards while nurturing the development of the child’s whole personality. Class sizes are small , about 25 children in each class, nearer 15 in Infants and Junior classes. Individual support is provided if it is necessary. The school follows the best aspects of National Curriculum and gets good results in GCSE and A Levels. It directs its pupils to the best universities, apprenticeships or directly into work.

The three members of the Admissions Team welcome enquiries from parents for all sections of the school which encompasses co-educational Stanfield Preparatory School , Senior Boys’ School, Senior Girls’ School and Sixth Form.

The admissions process is on-line and includes setting up a “parent portal’ which establishes an e-mail link between the admissions office and the parent. The portal stays in place so that it can be used for younger siblings as they become ready for entry.
