Established in 1991, Madani Secondary Girls’ School is located in Myrdle Street, Tower Hamlets. It is an independent Muslim day school, and caters for around 300 girls from ages 11 to 18. Their aim is to create a school community ‘where individuals are proud of Islam, confident learners and prepared for life as Muslim citizens in modern Britain’.

Ofsted rated Madani Girls’ School as outstanding in its behaviour and attitudes, reporting that ‘pupil behaviour is excellent and they work with determination to succeed. Staff and pupils highlight the family-like and respectful school environment’. There is a broad curriculum, from which almost all the pupils study the subjects included in the English Baccalaureate (Ebacc); every student enters GCSEs in Citizenship, Religious Studies and Arabic.

Madani Girls’ School admissions entail completing the application form alongside providing the candidate’s current school report, and two references from their school. Entrance exams will be taken in Maths, English and Islamic Studies; Years 8-11 must sit Maths, English and Science exams.
