Eversfield Prep School is the 2023 TES Independent Prep School of the Year.

Eversfield Prep is an independent coeducational school for children aged 3-11. The School’s moral standards are underpinned by Christian teaching and values. Eversfield Prep was founded in 1931 as an all-boys’ school, before becoming entirely coeducational in the late 1990s.

The class sizes are small, and the curriculum is broad and balanced to develop pupils’ creative, technical, sporting and social skills. Pastoral Care is accommodated at Eversfield Prep School by a code of conduct of CARE, or Compassion, Aspiration, Resilience and Endeavour. Additionally, form tutors, the school nurse and a peer mentoring scheme within the school comprise a network of wellbeing support for each student.

Eversfield Prep is split into two Houses, Angles and Saxons. Both students and staff belong to one of the two houses, giving great community spirit to events such as intra-school sports matches. The School’s five-acre site provides extensive playing fields and sports pitches. Other facilities of Eversfield include a multi-million pound Sports & Performing Arts Centre, a Woodland Area (for outdoor learning opportunities), Art Studio, Science Laboratory, Library, and dedicated spaces for Design Technology and Food Technology.

‘Academic excellence’ is a core value and as such, Eversfield Prep offers an academic scholars’ programme for pupils from Form 3 to Form 6 (ages 7-11). These children are selected based on their aptitude and desire for deeper learning. Leavers’ progression and scholarships include Cheltenham Ladies’ College, Arnold Lodge School, and Wycombe Abbey.
