Elmhurst School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 3 – 11. It’s a traditional prep school tucked away down a residential street in South Croydon set in three former Victorian homes which are connected with corridors and staircases. The school is in a town setting and the site is compact, but it makes the most of the space – both inside and out.

Wellbeing & Pastoral Care

At Elmhurst School, we nurture and value every pupil, challenging them to be brilliant and laying the foundations for a happy and successful future.

Advice For Parents

Our key entry points are at 3+, 5+ and 7+ although we will consider in-year joiners, if spaces allow. Regretfully, there may be times when we are unable to offer a place to a prospective pupil. Small class sizes are a hallmark of our educational offering and we are committed to ensuring that is always the case. However, please inquire with our Admissions Manager if you are looking for a place in other year groups or would like to register for a place in advance of the application deadline.
