École Jeannine Manuel was founded in France in 1954 by Jeannine Manuel, who believed that learning a foreign language “provides access to the world”. Located in the heart of London, the sister-school École Jeannine Manuel London was opened in 2015, and is a co-educational bilingual international French school for 3-18 year olds.  Our School’s mission is to promote international understanding through the bilingual education of a multicultural community of students, and to foster pedagogical innovation by exploring best practices in an ever-changing global environment.

École Jeannine Manuel accepts non French-speaking students at all levels, and beginners in English up to Year 7. The curriculum follows the French national curriculum, except for the English, Science and Chinese programmes, which are developed by and for the School. Extracurriculars at École Jeannine Manuel include the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE), drama, fencing, debating, gymnastics, basketball and choir.

Admission to the school is competitive, academically selective, and dependent on prospective students’ ability/interest in co-curricular activities and ‘excellence of character’. There are bursaries available through the school. Year 11 students at the school have automatic entry through to Sixth Form; they choose either the French track towards the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
