The Eaton House Nursery was founded in 2017 and is small in size and intake. Good quality teaching and learning and access to a range of sports including swimming. The pre-prep is well established, with the prep school opening in 2018. The school is non-selective at entrance into Reception (or Nursery) with an academic rigour and thoroughness that means even without selecting for the brightest boys, plenty exit the school to attend top tier boys only prep schools, such as Westminster Under, Westminster Cathedral Choir School, King’s College School, St Paul’s Juniors. Traditionally boys would leave at 7+ but since 2018 at least 40% each year are staying on until 11. We particularly recommend the school if you would like to prepare for exit at 7+ or 8+, for example to Sussex House. They are quite limited on space but the school are undergoing refurbishments currently to make better use of the small outdoor roof spaces (some completed 2019, the rest due 2020) and an outdoor learning centre. Dedicated science lab, DT and ICT rooms, with music teaching in the school hall. Music teaching holds strong importance with all children encouraged to Sport and playtimes take place at Hyde Park and Battersea Park (swimming at Queen Mother’s sport centre) and the timetable is structured to allow for short lessons in the mornings and then outdoor session to let off steam in the afternnons before returning back to school for clubs.
