Connaught House School
47 Connaught Square, London, W2 2HL
Connaught House is a small, family run school located on Connaught Square with girls and boys aged 4 to 11. The atmosphere of the school is very happy one, with lively, motivated and interested children. By maintaining high teacher child ratios (often 1:6) the school is able to tailor each child’s learning to their individual abilities. Progress is closely monitored and extra support or stretching provided if needed. Connaught House’s curriculum is broad and carefully balanced with specialist teachers for language, art, music and sport. With Hyde Park on their doorstep the children get involved with plenty of sports and have scheduled fixtures with other schools. Connaught House has a very good academic reputation, with their pupil’s consistently gaining entry to schools such as City of London School, Godolphin and Latymer and St Pauls at the 11+. The school has a very caring Senior Management Team, the principal owns the school and is a Special Educational Needs (SEN) specialist, which reflects in their ethos. The school is a bright airy town house, with lovely classrooms, some small but very bright and jolly.
