Cheltenham College is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 3-18. Having been founded in 1841, the school offers a traditional boarding school experience. The school is relatively academically strong, with more than 80% of pupils going on to Russell Group universities in a typical year. There is a wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer, including drama, music, sport and other clubs and societies. The school is well known for its Combined Cadet Force (CCF), though joining is not compulsory. Sixth formers also take part in at least one weekly ‘elective’ – options include Community Service, History of Art, Life Drawing, Recycling Bikes or a Mini-MBA. The beautiful school grounds and buildings are located in Cheltenham, an attractive spa town in the west of England.
