Bright Horizons is one of the UK’s leading childcare providers. They have over 300 nurseries throughout the UK and have an excellent reputation for providing children with a naturally inspiring environment, coupled with exceptional care and an education which will allow them to flourish. The Bright Horizons Hyde Park Day Nursery is located in Sussex Gardens and offers a warm and secure environment where children benefit from many creative, learning activities. Bright Horizons take great care when selecting their staff, each member has at least a Level 2 in the Childcare Qualification, and are often working towards level’s 3, 4 and beyond. The child to staff ratio for children under the age of 2 is 1 member of staff to every 3 children. There is a designated ‘Baby Room’ for those under 2 years old and every child has a key worker who is responsible for them. They will develop a close relationship and be a constant attachment figure during their time in the Baby Room. The team at Hyde Park Nursery is supported by a long-standing manager, Frances Poulastides, who has recently celebrated 13 years with the company. Parents have direct access to their child’s key worker throughout the day as there is a phone installed in each room. Safety is the most important principle at Bright Horizons. Security checks are carried out 4 times a day, which ensures the nursery is kept neat and tidy removing the chance of any hazards which may arise. Each day the nursery focuses on the smooth transition upon arrival, establishing a sleep routine around the child, providing stimulating, age appropriate activities so that the children‚Äôs social, emotional and physical developments are encouraged, ensuring they have time outdoors (weather dependent). Just before the child’s first day there will be ‘Settling in’ sessions for the parent(s) to ensure both the parents and the child are happy and there is nothing to worry about.
