Private Tutors for Biology
We introduce Biology tutors for the 13+, GCSE, A Level, IB and beyond.
Every tutor we introduce has an excellent academic background and thorough knowledge of all the main Biology exam boards. Their passion and knowledge for the subject enables them to make even the most difficult processes fun and easy to process – from the life process and cell functions beloved by Common Entrance examiners to the complexities of genetics and biochemistry. As every student is unique and learns in their own way, our bespoke service will match the right tutor to your child. This unique approach will help to build confidence in your child, so that they can go onto excel in their Biology exams.

GCSE Biology Tuition
We introduce private tutors for biology who provide support for all GCSE AND IGCSE exam boards. Whether you son or daughter is a budding micro-biologist seeking to maximise their GCSE biology revision ahead of final exams or has simply discovered some gaps in their understanding, we will introduce you to an expert tutor suited to their specific needs. If your child is a reluctant student, struggling with scientific thinking or enthusiasm for the course material in cell biology, bioenergetics or ecology, we will introduce a tutor to keep the subject interesting and relevant.
The expert biology tutors we work with can help your child to learn key scientific vocabulary, master analytical and evaluative skills or to catch up on the subject content. The key foundation to performing well at GCSE level is having a good understanding of how scientific methods and theories develop over time. Students are required to appreciate the power and limitations of science and consider ethical issues. The tutors we introduce can draw from a host of academic and practical applications in their working lives and scientific careers and can explain everyday and technological applications of science that are a key requirement of most examination boards.
Biology tuition at GCSE level will help your child to develop increased independence and confidence in working consistently under exam conditions. Tutors will help your child to best prepare for all parts of the exam, including the Multiple Choice paper.
IB Biology Tuition
We introduce private tutors for IB Biology standard level (SL) and Biology higher level (HL). Experienced IB biology tutors, including subject teachers, IB examiners and former IB students (who have scored at least 38+ Diploma points) will provide structured support in biology learning throughout the challenging IB course.
We regularly introduce private tutors to guide IB students on any of their IB Group 4 subjects choices and projects. Your child will be required to learn all of the material within the 6 core topics – and a further 5 HL extension topics if studying for the Higher Level – with optional modules in neurology and behaviour, biotechnology and bioinformatics, ecology and conservation and human physiology. The IB biology tutors we work with have an excellent working knowledge of all of this material. If you are studying science as part of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) we will also be able to introduce you to a suitably experienced tutor to meet your specific needs.
A Level Biology Tuition
We introduce private tutors for A LEVEL biology and human biology who provide expert guidance for every exam board. Building from a solid foundation in GCSE or IGCSE biology, expert biology tuition is valuable for those who find bridging the gap between GCSE and A Level particularly challenging or for those seeking the highest grades.
Whether your child needs some guidance with focused A Level biology revision to help them to secure the highest grade in their final exams, or help adopting a more rigorous and structured approach to revising the A Level biology material, we will introduce you to a trusted tutor with a proven track record who will be able to motivate your son or daughter and keep them focused and growing in confidence.
The content of all key A Level biology exam boards requires a solid understanding of everything from biological molecules to genetics, populations, evolution and ecosystem. Expert A level biology tutors empower students to ask questions, invest plenty of time to learn and explore the content independently and develop excellent study skills and revision habits that will set them up well for their final A Level exams and beyond.
Pre-U Biology Tuition
We introduce expert Biology Tutors with the passion, expertise and proven track records to help Pre-U students increase their grades. Tutors provide guidance on a regular basis throughout term time or support with biology revision ahead of exams. Whether they are aiming for a Pass (P2), a Merit (M2) or Distinction (D2) it is important that you child works with a tutor who understands the Pre-U requirements.
The Cambridge Pre-U biology course offers an excellent grounding for the study and use of biology at university and the course was designed with the young bio scientist in mind. Breadth and depth are carefully balanced to allow opportunities for the exploration of topics in greater detail while retaining a broad view of the subject. In studying the evolution of life, your child will be expected to understand Darwin and Wallace’s observations and conclusions, for example, as well as to explain the role of isolation in allopatric speciation and sympatric speciation. An expert biology tutor will be able to quickly help your child to pinpoint any conceptual gaps and keep them focused on continuing to learn and revise independently.
Undergraduate Level Biology Tuition
We introduce biology tutors to provide expert guidance to undergraduate biology students. The tutors we work with have a range of laboratory, academic and field experience and can help those seeking guidance with any part of their undergraduate biology courses. Tutors will help you to get you back on track with your biology degree if you have slipped behind with your studies or if you are struggling with undergraduate study skills, particularly if English is not your first language.
Biology is an exciting and rapidly developing subject area with great relevance to addressing global challenges from disease and poverty to biodiversity loss and climate change. The study of living things has undergone tremendous expansion in recent years, and topics such as cell biology, developmental biology, evolutionary biology and ecology, all of which are covered in most undergraduate biology courses, are advancing at a great pace. It is often helpful to get the expert advice and support of a professional tutor, to help both with subject knowledge and undergraduate study skills.
"Ben is conscientious and hard working. He has helped our son gain confidence considerably over the past year in Biology and Chemistry".
Mr. G, A Level Biology Tuition
“Sarah received incredible results in her GCSEs, particularly in Physics, Biology and Maths. The Physics and Maths grades were a real shock! For sure the work Dario (tutor) did was amazing, I was so sceptical about tuition because we pay a lot for Sarah’s school fees but I’m so grateful I made this choice”.
Mrs. H, GCSE Physics, Maths and Biology Tuition
"Michael has been exceptionally dedicated to our daughters’ success and is extremely knowledgeable and smart. They really enjoyed their sessions with him".
Ms. A, 13+ Biology Tuition
"An outstanding tutor, Ben tutored our son from a B grade to achieving an A* in Biology this year. We owe him a lot".
Ms. C, GCSE Biology Tuition
