Simply Learning Tuition, introducing you to the best private tutors.
We introduce private tutors to support your child through every step of their academic journey. This page will help you to discover more about the high standards we look for in these tutors and explains how we match them to fit your child’s academic requirements and personality.
If you are looking for a private tutor for your child, please call one of our tuition consultants or use our online enquiry form further down this page.
Finding the Right Tutor
We are far more selective than most agencies. Every tutor we work with has an enhanced DBS check, provided two outstanding references and has passed a rigorous interview process during which they demonstrate exactly how they teach. They all have a proven track record as tutors, a glowing academic background, an infectious passion for their subject and, above all, have the empathy and care to connect with your child. As a rough guide, we work with about 7% of the tutors who apply to us.
A Personal Relationship
It is not only their excellent academic backgrounds, years of teaching experience (we have a minimum requirement of 100 hours of tutoring experience) and inspiring passion that sets the tutors we introduce apart from the mainstream, but also the strong relationships we have formed with them over the years. We take care to get to know each tutor personally – from their teaching style and the type of students they work best with, to their hobbies and interests. This is a crucial part of our personalised matching service.
After we have discussed your family’s schooling aspirations and your son or daughter’s academic requirements in detail, we recommend a shortlist of tutors who will be precisely the right fit. You then make the final choice, guided by our knowledge of each tutor.
A Simply Learning Tuition Tutor: The Gold Standard
There is, of course, no such thing as a typical tutor, but we have included Tadhgh’s profile to demonstrate the extremely high standards we require of the private tutors we work with. Each tutor brings a different skillset and personal approach to their teaching, but they share a common thread; they are part of a small pool of the most highly qualified and experienced tutors in London.
Tadhgh has more than 6 years of experience as a tutor and education consultant. He has taught around the world, from weekly tuition to full-time home schooling. He enjoys working with students across a range of ages and abilities and has experience with various specific learning difficulties, as well as preparing ‘gifted’ students for some of the most difficult scholarship exams at Eton and Winchester. He tailors each of his sessions to the unique educational context of each new student and their family and always focuses on confidence and enthusiasm. He believes without the two latter ingredients it’s very hard to make progress.
