Tuition in Kensington and Chelsea

Kensington is an area full of bustling high streets, royal parks and garden squares, and as such, represents the heart of London. Our proximity to this part of town is mirrored by our strong connections with the good schools in the area, such as the Lycee Francais Charles de Gaulle, Falkner House, St Nicholas Preparatory School and Holland Park Pre-Prep School. We have extensive experience not only helping students secure entry to these schools but also supporting them through every step of their academic journey.

How can Simply Learning Tuition help?

Our bespoke service can introduce tutors to guide you through every stage of your child’s education. The tutors we work with can help your child achieve the results they need in their Common Entrance exams, whether 7+, 11+, 13+ or any other exam, in order to obtain a place in the school that is right for them. We also introduce specialised tutors for GCSE and A Level exam preparation across a range of subjects.

In addition to exam preparation, we introduce tutors who can help establish literacy and numeracy skills in the early years of your child’s life, to help them gain confidence before progressing further in their education. We also provide advice when choosing a school for your child, or even choosing a university later on. Our educational consultancy service, composed of expert educational specialists, can also offer support at any stage of career development. Once your child has found the right school or university, our Boarding School Plus and University Fast Track programmes can help your child settle in and excel academically in their new environment. We can even introduce alumni mentors who can guide them through the new challenges their new school or country brings.

St Nicholas Preparatory School

St Nicholas is one of London’s best preparatory schools. It educates pupils between the ages of between 3 and 11. The majority of these students then enter a selection of London’s top independent and boarding schools. The school is situated in the heart of Kensington and enjoys excellent outside spaces and sports facilities. The school aims not only to develop students academically but also to produce well rounded and intellectually engaged individuals. The school consistently receives outstanding inspection reports. The school is fee paying but it does not require an entrance exam on entry.

Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres

The Lycée is a London institution, founded in 1915 and wholly owned by the French government, it has been educating pupils ever since. It caters to about 4000 pupils, both boys and girls, between the ages of 3 and 18 mainly in the French language. The school uses the French rather than the English education system and 82% of students are French. However, there is a British section which takes British A Levels rather than the French Baccalauréat. The school performs consistently excellently in both the French and English academic systems. It is one of the highest performing French schools outside of France and its exam results have led to the British section being name the 15th best school in the country.
