Supporting bright IB student who lives between London and Delhi
Background
A 17 year old girl who lived between Delhi and London required support with her IB.
SLT’s Approach
We introduced a tutor to help this bright and successful student with English, TOK, CAS. She was studying at Westminster school and took tuition during the holidays. Her requirements were very specific and at a very high level, making her an ideal candidate for online tuition.
Results
After tuition, the student went on to score 40 at IB.
Can we provide a programme like this for your family?
Yes. Most of our programmes begin with a thoughtful discussion about what you need right now, what you want to achieve long term, and what success looks like for your child. We then propose a structure, a timetable, an estimated budget and realistic outcomes - and we refine it with you before anything begins.
Do we offer short-term programmes as well as long-term support?
Yes. Some families work with us for a single term or during a period of transition; others for several years. We design programmes to suit the timeframe you need — whether that is short-term stabilisation, exam preparation, or longer-term educational continuity.
Do we work alongside schools and existing teachers?
Yes, we can run fully aligned with the school where helpful. Some programmes run independently; others are closely aligned with a school’s curriculum, set texts and coursework - particularly where a return to school is planned. We are used to operating in a joined-up way with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
Can we combine cultural experiences with curriculum objectives?
Absolutely. Home schooling is uniquely well suited to “real-world” learning. Theatre, galleries, historic sites and local culture can be integrated into English, history, geography, languages and even science — making learning more memorable and often more enjoyable, without sacrificing rigour.
Can tutors travel with you or teach online when you relocate?
Yes. Many of our tutors teach primarily in the UK and may not travel for extended periods. However, we also place residential tutors who can travel with a family and deliver home schooling wherever you are, for short or long-term placements. We can also combine in-person teaching with online continuity when schedules change.
How do we keep learning consistent during frequent travel?
We protect consistency through careful planning. Tutors map the curriculum in advance, maintain a predictable rhythm of sessions, and build in flexibility for travel changes. When plans shift, we adjust the timetable without losing momentum.
