Background
A talented second year History student was failing to keep up with his essays and had stopped attending university. His parents asked us to introduce a mentor to get him back on track.
Results
We introduced an experienced mentor who slowly gained the trust of this frustrated and depressed young man. Alongside support from a tutor in his degree subject and a specialist maths tutor, we helped the student to reframe his view of his weak academic track record, understand his challenges and see his unique talents and potential. The student has successfully re-engaged with his course, is scoring an average 2:1 and has completed several summer courses to help with his transition to a rewarding career.
