Background
Our client needed a multi-disciplinary tutor to travel with them for several months. The tutor needed to be able to inspire their disengaged son, recently diagnosed with Dyspraxia, to knuckle down and prepare for a series of Senior School entrance tests.
Results
The tutor worked closely with the family’s Education Psychologist and school SENCO to implement teaching strategies that would help alleviate the Dyspraxia. Over the course of two years, the tutor travelled with the family to their homes in Scotland, Sweden and the UK, tutoring, mentoring and supporting the boy, and in some cases his siblings. The student went on to get 78% in his Common Entrance and went on to Kings College Canterbury and then Harvard University.
