Background
The client asked SLT to help with her daughter’s struggle to keep up with the workload of her art degree.
Results
We introduced a nurturing mentor who was also a highly talented artist, to help the girl develop her portfolio, find a studio and complete her degree. A separate tutor was brought in to help with essays. When it was discovered that the girl had a mild processing disorder, techniques were introduced to help her with recall and essay preparation. The student was delighted to have made a friend and mentor in the tutor. This support helped boost her confidence, increase output and ultimately to graduate with a 2:1.
