Inspiring the next generation of scientists: Meet Jessica

This International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are spotlighting one of our exceptional tutors, Jessica.  As well as being a dedicated tutor, Jessica is also a mentor, a role model, and a passionate advocate for girls in STEM. Having read Medicine at University of Oxford, Jessica is inspiring the next generation of scientists and demonstrating what can be achieved with hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for learning.

Jessica’s own impressive GCSE and A Level results demonstrate her deep understanding of the subjects she tutors, including Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Physics. Jessica has a unique ability to connect with students, and tailors her approach to their individual learning styles and needs.

“She showed me how to make my statement flow using concise language and encouraged me to deepen my reflection,” shares one of Jessica’s students, highlighting her impact on their academic journey. This personalised approach is key to Jessica’s tutoring approach. She believes in creating a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and build their confidence.

Jessica specialises in:

Subject Tutoring: From GCSE to A-Level, Jessica helps students master challenging concepts in core STEM subjects, building a strong foundation for future success.

Medical School Admissions:  Jessica provides expert guidance on personal statements, interview preparation, and the UCAT.

UCAT Preparation: The UCAT is a key part of medical school applications. Jessica offers targeted strategies and practice to help students excel in this challenging exam.

Mentoring: Beyond academics, Jessica serves as a mentor, inspiring students to pursue their passions in STEM and offering valuable insights into the world of medicine.

Jessica has a genuine passion for empowering girls in science and has understood first hand the challenges  young women face in the STEM field.

“I’m very grateful I had her wisdom for this process,” adds another student. This sentiment is echoed by many who have benefited from Jessica’s guidance. Her dedication to her students’ success, combined with her own impressive achievements, makes her a true role model for aspiring scientists.

We are proud to work with Jessica.  She embodies our commitment to providing high-quality, personalised tutoring that empowers students to achieve their academic dreams. On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we celebrate Jessica and all the women who are making a difference in the world of STEM.
