Eleanor has been teaching for over twenty years and is unusual in that alongside working for us, she regularly teaches in one of London’s leading state primary schools. Having been a form teacher of fifteen classes, she also has substantial experience supply teaching from Nursery to Year 6. In addition she has tutored children from leading Pre-Preps and Prep Schools such as Hawkesdown House and Garden House. Eleanor boarded at St Mary’s School, Ascot and then attended Roehampton Institute, where she graduated with a teacher training degree (BA Hons in English with Qualified Teacher Status); she wanted to be a teacher from a young age. After beginning her teaching career in London, she has since taught abroad in both urban and rural schools (Chile, Mexico, Nicaragua) and understands the needs of children entering the UK system with English as an additional language. In addition, from her extensive experience when teaching children new to Britain, she is able to assess and then identify the areas a child needs to develop to ensure they have a smooth and successful transition from international to British curriculum study.
