Simply Creative - Art Workshops

If Batik is up your street, and sculpture makes you wonder, If you're aged 7-18, have free time this half-term in October, Come join us and be Simply Creative in Battersea Together we'll blast holiday boredom asunder!

From Monday 25th October until Friday 29th October, Simply Creative will be running a varied and innovative programme of art workshops between 9am and 4pm each day.

We'd like to invite your child to attend this fantastic art course.

Participants will have the chance to make ceramic pots and sculptures (glazed and kiln fired), string puppets, papier-mâché masks, willow baskets, paper lanterns, découpage boxes, silk painted and batik fabrics.

To ensure that each child receives their fair share of complexity, reward and challenge we'll run an initial assessment of your child's ability, consider their age and then form suitable activity groups.

At the end of the course, on Saturday evening, we will invite children and parents to an exhibition of the work created.

The Teachers

We're pleased that Jennifer Taylor and Stephanie Quayle are able to run this course. Both have studied at the Royal College of Art, graduating with an MA in Sculpture. They have also received first class honours degrees: Jennifer from the Ruskin (University of Oxford) and Stephanie from the Slade (University College London). They now live and work in London, exhibiting widely in the UK and abroad. Jennifer has shown work at the Fondation Cartier in Paris, Koraalberg Gallery in Antwerp and Flowers East and the ICA in London. Stephanie has exhibited at the Poustinia Sculpture Park in Belize, the Ice Sculpture Festival in Latvia, the Goodwood Sculpture Park in Sussex and Trolley Gallery in London.

Jennifer and Stephanie's extensive knowledge of materials and techniques will offer children an invaluable learning experience. This course offers your child an opportunity to acquire new skills with the freedom to develop their own creativity in a stimulating, unrestrictive and non-competitive environment.

Fees:

The Simply Creative course is £255 + VAT for the entire half term.
This cost includes all materials and snacks throughout the day.
We ask parents to supply a pack lunch for their children.
Your child is free to attend as many days as they would like or are able to.
Bookings are refundable up to 14 days before the course. After this date, all bookings are non-refundable.
